FRANCESCA ZARRI DESIGNATED AS CHAIR OF OMC MED ENERGY 2025
Ravenna, 14th May 2024 - The Shareholders' Meeting of OMC scrl, the company that organises OMC Med Energy, met on the afternoon of Monday 13 May at the Ravenna headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara and Ravenna, to confirm the dates of the 2025 edition from 8 to 10 April and appoint the event's new Chairman.
The Assembly unanimously designated Francesca Zarri, Director Technology, R&D &Digital at Eni.
To Monica Spada, who held the same position in the OMC 2021 and OMC 2023 editions, the Sole Director of OMC scrl Renzo Righini and the shareholders (Assorisorse, Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara and Ravenna, Roca) expressed deepest appreciation and thank "for the commitment shown and the results obtained in the transformation and adaptation of OMC Med Energy to the energy transition".
"It was an honour," commented Spada, "to lead the event along this exciting path of transformation on the themes of transition and decarbonisation, with the aim of confirming it as the Mediterranean energy event, a place for meetings, exchanges, alliances and industrial development, in this magnificent city of Ravenna".
Francesca Zarri was proposed by Assorisorse, whose President Stefano Maione declared that "the nomination is in line with the commitment of the entire resources supply chain, which is the protagonist of the new international challenges.
"I am very honored to chair this important Event," said Zarri, "which for years has represented a very high-profile international reference point for operators in the sector. I hope that this appointment can also increasingly be an opportunity both for growth for Ravenna with unique characteristics that make it a protagonist in innovation, and for strengthening the role of Italy and its industrial excellence in the energy transition".
The Sole Director of OMC Scrl, Renzo Righini, welcomed "the appointment of Francesca Zarri, a figure of significant expertise and prominent standing in the energy sector.
